On Thursday, Wing Tsang will be promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief, along with 2 Chaplains, 5 Deputy Chiefs, 15 Battalion Chiefs, 1 Supervising Fire Marshal Level II, 56 Lieutenants, 1 Marine Assistant Engineer, and 2 Marine Wipers. ? Chief Tsang began his public service career with the NYPD as a police officer, but joined the FDNY shortly after the events of September 11, 2001.

On Monday, the FDNY presented a certificate of appreciation to the Queens District Attorney’s Office?in helping secure justice for the family of Captain Alison Russo. Captain Russo was brutally murdered while working at Station 49 in Queens in September of 2022. Her killer was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.?
